Atmosphera ("we", "our", "us") is committed to protecting your personal information. This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights.

1. Information We Collect

We collect the following information when you use Atmosphera:

• Account data: Email address and password (hashed) when you create a Premium account via payment.
• Payment data: Subscription status and order ID from Lemon Squeezy. We do not store card details — payments are processed entirely by Lemon Squeezy.
• City searches: The cities you search are stored locally in your browser (localStorage). We do not store your city history on our servers.
• Usage data: We use PostHog analytics to collect anonymised usage data including page views, feature interactions, city searches, device type, browser, and session recordings. This data is used solely to improve the service. No personally identifiable information is included.

2. How We Use Your Information

• To provide air quality monitoring, UV Index, Vitamin D Window and Activity Window data.
• To manage your Premium subscription and verify access to Premium features.
• To send transactional emails (welcome email with login link and password) via Resend.
• To process payments via Lemon Squeezy (we do not store card details).
• To improve and maintain the Atmosphera service.

2b. Third-Party Data Sources

Atmosphera uses the following external APIs to provide weather and environmental data. No personal user data is shared with these services — we send only city names or coordinates:

• OpenWeatherMap — weather forecasts and air quality data.
• NASA POWER — satellite data used by our ML model to calculate UV Index and solar radiation.

3. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal data. We share data only with:

• Supabase — our database provider (EU-hosted infrastructure).
• Lemon Squeezy — our payment processor.
• Resend — transactional email provider (receives your email address solely to deliver welcome emails).
• PostHog — analytics provider (US-hosted). Receives anonymised usage data only (page views, feature interactions, city searches). No personal data such as email or name is shared.

4. Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. You may request deletion of your account and all associated data at any time by contacting us at hello@atmosphera.to.

5. Security

We use industry-standard encryption and security practices. Passwords are hashed and never stored in plain text. All data transmission uses HTTPS.

6. Your Rights

You have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data. To exercise these rights, contact us at hello@atmosphera.to.

7. Cookies

Atmosphera uses only essential cookies required for authentication. We also use PostHog analytics which sets anonymised cookies to measure usage and improve the service. No advertising or third-party tracking cookies are used.
